Join one of my regular painting groups below, they run for a series of 10 x 2 hour sessions. These groups are mixed abilities and form friendship and support groups as well as painting groups. They have a happy and relaxed atmosphere and each course is specifically designed at session one to meet to the needs and subject requests of the members of each group.

What will you learn ?

Most of these courses are primarily Watercolour painting classes, Although we do dabble in other mediums too. You will, explore the wonderful properties of watercolour paint. My tuition will be a combination of guided exploration and also step by step painting demonstrations to build your confidence and increase your skills in order to develop your paintings

• Learn how to drop and float your colour and master wet into wet techniques. Discover how you can time and predict the flow of the paint

• Practice the art of glazing to build transparent layers of colour.

• See how you can build up your picture in layers of paint.

• Explore colour mixing and pigments that work best together.

• With good understanding of the medium there will be no more muddy or over worked paintings.

• You will become better skilled at choosing the best brushes for applying colour and without fiddling.

Other mediums are introduced from time to time as each group requests them. Acrylic, Pencil, Pastel etc. My courses are designed around the needs of the people in that group at the start of each term.
